Juicebox lives in your menu bar, with a small extension to keep your browser allowances fresh.
Meet your new menu bar buddy.
Download and unzip the source. In Terminal, open the extracted Juicebox folder, then run the command below.

./make.sh --install
Requires Apple’s Swift toolchain, included with Xcode Command Line Tools. The build creates and installs Juicebox.app, then opens the guided setup. This is a source build, not a notarized app-store download.
Bring your browser along.
In Juicebox’s setup window, click Connect . This prepares the extension and connects the local bridge for your installed Chromium browsers.

Open
chrome://extensionsin your browser. - Enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked .

Select
~/Juicebox/extension. Use Reveal in Finder in the setup window to find it.
Sign in. Take a sip.
Sign in to Claude or ChatGPT in the browser where you loaded the extension. Open the Juicebox extension to refresh your readings.
Your allowances now live in the menu bar. Open the panel’s settings to enable Launch at login and keep Juicebox close.
A little help, if you need it.
Loaded the extension, but nothing happened?
Use the extension folder Juicebox prepared. Loading a different folder can change the extension ID. Expand “Loaded it but nothing is happening?” in the Mac setup window and link the ID shown in your browser.
My provider says I’m signed out.
Sign in on that provider’s website in the same browser profile as the Juicebox extension, then press Refresh in the popup.
How do I reopen setup?
Click Juicebox in your menu bar, open the gear button, and choose Browser setup.
